WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's lacrosse team (4-6, 2-2) scored the final five goals of the contest but still came up short in a nail-biting setback to North Greenville (7-4, 3-1), 12-11, Saturday afternoon on Senior Day in a Conference Carolinas showdown at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.
The Trailblazers' Ayden Sizemore (Fuquay-Varina, N.C.) scored three goals as North Greenville held on for the victory after holding a 12-6 edge midway through the final stanza.

Logan McGrath (Stafford, Va.) led the home with three goals and the Bulldogs had a chance to tie but shot was just high as time expired.

Marvin Johnson (Houston, Texas) added a pair of goals and an assist as the Bulldogs held a 48-40 edge in shots and a 38-29 advantage in ground balls despite the setback.
North Greenville's goalkeeper, Matthew Desmond (Bedford, N.H.), earned the win after stopping 12 shots on the afternoon while Barton graduate student
Luke Woollard (Kent, ENGLAND) suffered the loss in goal despite 10 saves on the day.
Barton hits the road to take on Belmont Abbey in a conference contest on Saturday, March 28, in Belmont, N.C., starting at 3:00 p.m.
North Greenville, meanwhile, also plays at Belmont Abbey on Tuesday beginning at 6:00 p.m., in a league game.
