FAIRFAX, Va. – The Barton men's volleyball team (7-9) suffered a 3-0 loss to George Mason (11-7) on Friday evening at the Recreation Athletic Complex.
The Patriots won over the Bulldogs by scores of 25-19, 25-15 and 25-20. George Mason is a member of NCAA Division I.
George Mason was led by Robert Evangelista (Rochester, N.Y.) with 13 kills while Georgi Zahariev (Stara Zagora, BULGARIA) added 33 assists as the home team hit .481 for the contest in the triumph.
Barton was paced by
Miles Weaver (Neenah, Wis.) with eight kills and sophomore setter
Sammy DeBilzan (Lexington, Ky.) with 28 assists in the setback.
George Mason also tallied nine blocks and six service aces in the win as well.
Barton takes on Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday at 5:00 p.m., on George Mason's court while the Patriots host FDU on Sunday afternoon starting at 2:00 p.m.
