FAIRFAX, Va. – The Barton men's volleyball team (8-9) defeated Fairleigh Dickinson (6-8) by a 3-1 score on Saturday at the Recreation Athletic Complex.
The Bulldogs won over the Knights by scores of 24-26, 25-20, 25-23 and 25-18. FDU is a member of NCAA Division I.
Barton was led by freshman outside hitter
Jacob Martinez (Tucson, Ariz.) with 15 kills while sophomore outside hitter
Lawson Hink (Brookfield, Wis.) neared a double-double – 11 kills and nine dig – in the victory.

Sammy DeBilzan (Lexington, Ky.) added 43 assists for the Bulldogs, who totaled 12 service aces in the triumph.
The Knights were led by Jamal Ellis Carballo (Bayamón, PUERTO RICO) with 12 kills in the losing effort.
Barton returns to Conference Carolinas play to face North Greenville on Friday evening at Wilson Gymnasium starting at 7:00 p.m.
Fairleigh Dickinson faces Long Island University in Brooklyn, N.Y., starting at 6:00 p.m., on Friday as well.
