WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's volleyball team (7-8) defeated Catawba (6-10) by a 3-1 score Tuesday evening at Wilson Gymnasium.
The Bulldogs won over the Indians by scores of 19-25, 25-25, 25-22 and 25-17 to win for the fourth time in the last five contests.
Barton was led by sophomore outside hitter
Lawson Hink (Brookfield, Wis.) with a match-high 19 kills while sophomore setter
Sammy DeBilzan (Lexington, Ky.) added 43 assists as the Bulldogs hit 0.340 for the contest in the win.
Catawba was paced by Justin Arrowood (Arlington Heights, Ill.) with 18 kills and Kristian Smith (Zebulon, N.C.) with 38 assists in the setback.
Barton also totaled 10 blocks on the night and won despite 21 service errors.
Barton next travels to Fairfax, Va., to take on George Mason on Friday night beginning at 6:00 p.m. Catawba, meanwhile, travels to Greeneville, Tenn., to play Tusculum on Friday, March 20, starting at 6:00 p.m.
