HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The Barton baseball team (4-14) got back on the winning side with an 11-2 win over USC Beaufort (4-17) Tuesday afternoon at the Richard Gray Sports Complex.

Mason McDougall (Tampa, Fla.) hit a two-run home run while sophomore shortstop
Tyler Hughesman (Mooresville, N.C.) added two hits and three runs batted in including a two-run double as the Bulldogs snapped a four-game losing streak.

Braeden Rodgers (Advance, N.C.) improved to 2-2 on the year after limiting the Sand Sharks to just one run over six innings of work while striking out five batters in the victory.
USC Beaufort's Noah Campbell (East Peoria, Ill.) went five-for-five with an RBI in the losing effort. The Sand Sharks' Jake Rice (Brea, Calif.) (1-1) was tagged with the loss.
Barton steps back into Conference Carolinas play this Friday when the Bulldogs travel to Ferrum, Va., to take on Ferrum beginning at 3:00 p.m.
USC Beaufort, meanwhile, hosts North Georgia in a Peach Belt Conference contest Friday at 6:00 p.m.
