WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's lacrosse team (1-2) opened the 2026 home portion of its schedule with a 10-9 overtime loss to Palm Beach Atlantic Saturday afternoon at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.
The Sailfish's Patrick Law (Jupiter, Fla.) scored the golden goal at the 2:10 mark of overtime as Palm Beach Atlantic won its second straight one-goal contest in as many days: the Sailfish beat Lees-McRae, 12-11, Friday afternoon.
Palm Beach Atlantic's Gabe Eckhart (Puyallup, Wash.) scored a team-high three times as the visitors rallied from a 7-4 deficit early in the third period to pull out the win.
Barton was led by sophomore attacker
Garvin Johnson (Houston, Texas) with a match-high four goals while senior attacker
Nick Nelson (Wilmington, N.C.) totaled four points – two goals and two assists – despite the setback.

Luke Woollard (Kent, ENGLAND) totaled 15 saves despite the loss for the Bulldogs.
Barton takes to the road again and travels to Wilmington, Del., to take on Wilmington University Saturday, February 14, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Palm Beach Atlantic travels to Saint Augustine, Fla., to take on Flagler on Tuesday, February 17, starting at 6:00 p.m.
