WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (1-3) fell to No. 3 Savannah College & Design (3-0) by a 16-4 score Saturday morning at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.
The Bees, ranked third in NAIA, was led by Ellen Benintendi (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Kellen Berkeley (Peninsula, Ohio) with four goals each as the visitors used a 10-0 run to break a two-all tie in the second quarter and run away with the contest.

SCAD held a 32-16 edge in shots taken while Chloe Zundel (Santa Clarita, Calif.) took the win in goal after stopping four shots.

Alexandra Ashton (Chantilly, Va.) tallied five saves but suffered the loss for the home squad.
Barton remains at home to take on Bridgeport on Thursday, March 5, beginning at 4:00 p.m., while SCAD hosts Dominican University (New York) on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., in Hardeeville, S.C.
