WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's lacrosse team (2-4, 1-0) rolled to a 20-9 win over Emmanuel (1-7, 0-1) in the Conference Carolinas opener Friday afternoon at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.
Barton senior attacker
Kale Grehan (Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA) led all scorers with six goals as the home team user a 16-1 run over two-plus periods and outscored the Lions by an 8-0 margin in the third stanza to turn the contest into a rout.

Marvin Johnson (Houston, Texas) and senior attacker
Nick Nelson (Wilmington, N.C.) both totaled five points – a goal and four assists – as the Bulldogs held a sizable edge in shots taken (61-37) in the triumph.
Emmanuel was led by Ryland Laturell (Bishop, Ga.) with a pair of goals in the losing effort.
Barton graduate student goalkeeper Luke Woolland (Kent, ENGLAND) played the first three quarters and made four saves to pick up the win while Nick Pilon (Burlington, Ontario, CANADA) suffered the loss despite 15 saves.
Barton remains at home to take on rival Mount Olive on Saturday, March 7, beginning at 3:00 p.m., in a league contest. Emmanuel, meanwhile, faces North Greenville in Tigerville, S.C, next Saturday in a conference contest starting at 2:00 p.m.
