FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – The Barton men's volleyball team (2-7, 1-2) lost to Emmanuel (4-7, 1-2) by a 3-0 score Thursday at the Shaw Athletic Center.
The Lions won over the Bulldogs by scores of 26-24, 25-18 and 25-20.
Emmanuel was paced by Aidan Feeney (Port Richey, Fla.) with a match-high 15 kills and six digs while Greg Bodus (Delafield, Wis.) added 31 assists and six digs as well in the triumph.
Barton was led by sophomore outside hitter
Lawson Hink (Brookfield, Wis.) with 13 kills and five digs – both match-highs – while sophomore setter
Sammy DeBilzan (Lexington, Ky.) totaled 26 assists in the losing effort.
Emmanuel hit .345 for the contest and overcame 12 service errors in the victory.
Barton remains on the road to take on Erskine on Friday night beginning at 5:00 p.m., in Due West, S.C., in conference action.
Emmanuel hosts Mount Olive in a league contest on Saturday afternoon starting at Noon.
