CHICAGO, Ill. – The Barton men's volleyball team (1-2) lost by a 3-1 score to Roosevelt (3-3) Thursday evening at the Goodman Center.
The Lakers downed the Bulldogs by scores of 25-17, 25-23, 21-25 and 32-20.
Roosevelt was led by Mark Zmojdzin (Prospect Heights, Ill.) with a match-high 19 kills while Martino Bertagnoli (Sassuolo, ITALY) added 40 assists in the victory.
Barton was paced by sophomore outside hitter
Lawson Hink (Brookfield, Wisc.) with a team-high 15 kills while freshman outside hitter
Jacob Martinez (Tucson, Ariz.) added 12 kills and freshman setter
Max Bayer (Menomonee Falls, Wisc.) totaled 36 assists in the losing effort.
The Bulldogs were also hurt by 20 service errors in the setback.
Barton travels to St. Louis, Mo., to take on Maryville on Friday evening starting at 8:00 p.m., while Roosevelt will turn around and host Barton on Saturday afternoon starting at 4:00 p.m.
