SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Barton men's basketball team (6-11, 4-5) rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit to beat Converse (7-8, 4-5), 89-86, Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas game at Tom and Tracy Hannah Gymnasium and the Weisiger Center.

Isaiah Davis (St. Paul, Minn.) each scored 17 points as the Bulldogs scored 52 points after intermission in the victory.
Barton shot 56 percent (32-of-57) from the field and held a 37-30 advantage on the boards in the triumph.
Converse lost despite the play of Jordyn Surratt (Spartanburg, S.C.) and Will Fowler (Duncan, S.C.). The duo combined for 54 points in the loss. Surratt finished with a game-high 28 points to go along with 11 rebounds for a double-double and connected on 15-of-16 from the charity stripe in the setback. Fowler added 26 points and hit four treys in the loss as well.
Barton returns home to take on North Greenville on Monday afternoon in a league affair at Wilson Gymnasium beginning at 3:00 p.m. The contest is free of charge.
Converse, meanwhile, faces UNC Pembroke on Monday in conference action in Pembroke, N.C., at 4:00 p.m.
