WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's basketball team (5-11, 3-5) came up just short in overtime to Francis Marion (4-11, 4-3), 61-59, Tuesday night in a Conference Carolinas game at Wilson Gymnasium.

Francis Marion was led by Cole Deptula (Verona, Wisc.) with 18 points while Adonis Cole (Charleston, S.C.) added 13 points as the Patriots withstood a second half rally by the Bulldogs to pull out the win.

Barton, which came back from a 52-43 deficit with just over five minutes left to force overtime tied at 54-all, was paced by junior guard Jaylen Faber (Columbia, S.C.) with a team-high 18 points and four treys in the setback.

With the score tied at 59 in the extra frame, Duncan Alevok (St. Petersburg, Fla.) finished off an alley-oop dunk with 33 seconds left which proved to be the game-winner.
