WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's basketball team (5-10, 3-4) put an end to its three-game losing streak with an 88-67 win over Lees-McRae (6-10, 3-5) Saturday afternoon at Wilson Gymnasium.

Trey Fields (Clayton, N.C.) led all scorers with a career-high 33 points as the Bulldogs raced to a 50-22 halftime advantage and never looked back in the easy triumph.

Nicholas Evans (Alexandria, Va.) added 16 and 14 points, respectively, off the bench as the Bulldogs shot 52 percent (34-of-66) from the field in the win.
Lees-McRae's Dwight Canady (Hendersonville, N.C.) led the visitors with 16 points but the Bobcats had to play catch-up the entire second half.
Barton was also impressive from the charity stripe – connecting of 16-of-19 attempts (84 percent) – and held a 41-34 advantage on the boards.
Barton remains at home to take on Francis Marion in a league contest on Wednesday night starting at 7:00 p.m., while Lees-McRae travels to Bristol, Tenn., to face conference-foe King Wednesday as well starting at 7:30 p.m.
