WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's soccer team (2-4, 1-2) fell to UNC Pembroke (4-2, 4-0) by a 2-0 score Tuesday evening in a Conference Carolinas contest at the Bulldogs Athletic Complex.
The Braves, who notched their fourth straight shutout, received goals from Eugenie Amidou (Montreal, Quebec, CANADA) and Reagan Carr (New Bern, N.C.) in the victory.
Carr's goal was key as the score came with just 2:28 remaining in the contest to ice the victory for the visitors.
UNC Pembroke held a 12-4 advantage in shots taken while Addison Ellsworth (Greensboro, N.C.) earned the shutout victory in goal after stopping a shot.

Lily Diedrich (Severna Park, Md.) suffered the loss despite four saves on the evening.
Barton remains at home to take on league-rival Francis Marion on Wednesday, October 1, at 4:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, UNC Pembroke travels to Franklin Springs, Ga., to take on Emmanuel on Saturday, September 27, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
