TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Barton women's volleyball team (3-5, 0-2) suffered a 3-0 loss to North Greenville (3-5, 1-1) Friday evening in a Conference Carolinas match at Hayes Gymnasium.
The Trailblazers, who snapped a four-match losing streak, won over the Bulldogs by scores of 25-17, 25-19 and 25-23.
North Greenville was led by Samantha Ball (Saint Paul, Minn.) with a double-double – 15 kills and 10 digs – while Allison Ball (Saint Paul, Minn.) added 20 assists and six service aces in the triumph.
Barton senior outside hitter
Lexi Wasil (Prescott, Ariz.) finished with a team-high 14 kills in the losing effort.
Junior outside hitter
Paige Bagwell (Kings Mountain, N.C.) dished out 21 assists for the Bulldogs, who were hurt by 13 reception errors.
Barton looks to bounce back on Saturday at 2:00 p.m., against Erskine in Due West, S.C. Meanwhile, North Greenville hosts Chowan Saturday at Noon in league action.
