TIGERVILLE, S.C. – In the first-ever league football game under the Conference Carolinas moniker, Barton (0-3, 0-1) fell to North Greenville (1-1, 1-0) by a 41-28 score at Younts Stadium on Saturday night.
The Trailblazers jumped out to a 24-0 advantage midway through the second quarter highlighted by a 61-yard punt return for a score by Eric Rasheed (Fletcher, N.C.) and a 29-yard interception return for a touchdown by R.J. Glasgow (York, S.C.), both in the opening stanza.
Barton, behind three rushing touchdowns by sophomore tailback
Jackson Parrish (Graham, N.C.), cut the margin to 34-28 on the final play of the third quarter. Parrish totaled 104 yards rushing on the evening.
Rasheed found pay dirt again with a 70-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Dylan Ramirez (Cowpens, S.C.) Ramirez finished with 287 yards passing and three touchdowns as the Trailblazers held a 485-240 advantage in total yards in the triumph.

Al Lee (Reidsville, N.C.) added 121 yards passing and a score in the setback while junior linebacker
Keno Jones (Rocky Mount, N.C.) led the defense with 19 tackles.
Barton remains on the road for the third consecutive Saturday when the Bulldogs travel to Livingston, Ala., to face No. 17 West Alabama in seven days beginning at 7:00 p.m.
North Greenville remains at home to take on No. 5 West Florida on Saturday, September 20, at 7:00 p.m.
