WILSON, N.C. – The Barton field hockey team (0-2) suffered a 3-0 loss to Randolph-Macon (3-1) Wednesday evening at Truist Stadium and Electric Supply Company Field.
The Yellow Jackets' Breea Dresler (Yorktown, Va.) assisted on both goals in the first half courtesy of Brenna McLean (Rock Hall, Md.) and Samantha Major (Newport News, Va.).
Randolph-Macon, which held a 17-3 advantage in shots taken, rounded out the scoring thanks to Llana Thach (Henrico, Va.) late in the third period.
The Yellow Jackets' goalkeeper, Valentina Ambrogi-Torres (Richmond, Va.), earned the shutout win after stopping five shots.

Gracyn Arruda (Richmond, Va.) also made three saves but suffered the loss.
Barton hits the road for the first time this season on Saturday as the Bulldogs take on Coker in Hartsville, S.C. Randolph-Macon hosts Meredith on Saturday starting at 4:00 p.m.
