LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A total of 12 Barton College softball student-athletes earned 2025 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete accolades. NFCA is the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
In addition, Barton garnered scholar-athlete team honors with a squad grade point average of 3.39.
The individual student-athletes for the Bulldogs include junior outfielder
Alexis Bicondova (Ephrata, Wash.), sophomore outfielder
Makenzie Burroughs (Morehead City, N.C.), junior outfielder
Makenzie Cyzick (Dayton, Va.), sophomore outfielder
Riley Delcore (Stafford, Va.), junior outfielder
Elana Griffin (Nashville, N.C.), senior second baseman
Mary Lindsey Harris (Robersonville, N.C.), freshman catcher and outfielder
Berkley Ann Hicks (Myrtle Beach, S.C.), senior designated player
Gracelyn Massey (Princeton, N.C.), junior infielder
Madison Mercer (Kenly, N.C.), freshman outfielder
Savanah Strickland (Snow Camp, N.C.), graduate student catcher
Sydney Wade (Farmville, N.C.) and sophomore pitcher
Kerrigan Wonder (Omaha, Neb.).
The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. NCAA Division III led the way with 2,565 student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2024-25. NCAA Division I followed with 2,544 and NCAA Division II with 2,179.
Junior colleges and NAIA came in with 895 and 1,010 student-athletes respectively. Six student-athletes from Penn State Scranton earned recognition in the Other Four-Year category.
In all, 9,199 collegiate student-athletes were honored with 2,179 coming from NCAA Division II.
