Barton College tennis squads earn 2025 ITA NCAA Division II All-Academic Team honors

GILBERT, Ariz. – Both the Barton College men's and women's tennis teams earned 2025 ITA NCAA Division II All-Academic Team accolades.  ITA is the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
 
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must meet the following requirements:
  • Have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale),
  • All student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and
  • All varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year
     
In addition, a total of 27 Bulldog student-athletes – 15 men's players and 12 women's players – earned 2025 ITA D-II Scholar-Athlete honors.
 
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:
  • Have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year
  • Be listed on the institutional eligibility form
 
The Barton men's players who earned this prestigious honor were the following:  sophomore Fredrik Foss (Oslo, NORWAY), junior Diego Rodriguez (Caracas, Fla.), freshman Daniel Lopez (Palma De Mallorca, SPAIN), junior Guillem Busquets Brau (Sabadell, SPAIN), senior James Rodriguez (Goldsboro, N.C.), junior Aditya Chauhan (Chandigarh, INDIA), freshman William Drake (Walstonburg, N.C.), junior Filip Forsberg (Vallentuna, SWEDEN), junior Deni Furtado Brlenic (Alvsjo, SWEDEN), senior Johan Holgersson (Bromma, SWEDEN), senior Wilhelm Karlsson (Djursholm, SWEDEN), junior Felipe Mioch (Diemen, NETHERLANDS), senior Sebastian Sevilla (Ambato, ECUADOR), senior Hannes Tylehed (Stockholm, SWEDEN) and junior Hampus Wik (Gnosjo, SWEDEN).
