MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The Barton men's volleyball team (15-12, 10-4) lost in four sets to rival Mount Olive (19-3, 14-0), 3-1, Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas contest and the regular season final at Kornegay Arena.
The Trojans won over the Bulldogs by scores of 28-26, 27-29, 25-23 and 25-19 to sweep the season series from Barton and roll through the league regular season schedule with a perfect mark.
Mount Olive was led by Kory Grant (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) with 16 kills in addition to nine digs to near a double-double while Jackson Lahey (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) added 53 assists in the triumph.

Jack Sandahl (Gloucester, Va.) finished with 13 kills and two players tallied double-doubles – senior setter
Seth Deppe (Clermont, Fla.) and senior outside hitter
Jake Adams (Clermont, Fla.) – despite the loss. Deppe totaled 38 assists and 14 digs while Adams added 11 kills and 11 digs on the afternoon.
Barton, however, was hurt by 20 service errors in suffering their second straight loss.
Barton is the No. 3 seed in the 2025 Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Championship and will host sixth-seeded King in the quarterfinals on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., at Wilson Gymnasium while Mount Olive in the top seed in the tournament and will compete in the semifinals on Friday, April 25, at 5:00 p.m., at the Student Center Complex in Bristol, Tenn.
