WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's volleyball team (16-12) advanced to the semifinals of the 2025 Conference Carolinas Championship after sweeping King (4-23), 3-0, in the quarterfinals on Wednesday evening at Wilson Gymnasium.
The Bulldogs won over the Tornado by scores of 25-15, 25-13 and 25-19 and defeated the visitors for the third time this year.
Barton, the third seed in the tournament, will face second-seeded Belmont Abbey (15-8) on Friday, April 25, at 7:00 p.m., in the round of four at the Student Center Complex in Bristol, Tenn., at King University.

Jack Sandahl (Gloucester, Va.) with a dozen kills and freshman outside hitter
Lawson Hink (Brookfield, Wis.) totaled 10 kills as well as Barton hit .345 for the match.

Seth Deppe (Mukwonago, Wis.) added 33 assists and seven digs in the triumph.
King's Colton Bueter (North Lauderdale, Fla.) and Dalton Claiborne (Strawberry Plans, Tenn.) both totaled six kills in the losing effort. The Tornado were limited to a 0.022 hitting percentage for the match.
