WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (8-5, 4-1) saw its four-game winning streak with an 18-10 loss to Mount Olive (6-6, 5-1) in a Conference Carolinas showdown Tuesday night at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.
The Trojans' Logan Hibbard (Rochester, N.Y.) scored a match-high five goals while Rileigh White (Syracuse, N.Y.) scored four times as Mount Olive ran its winning streak to five matches.
Holding a 7-6 advantage with just over three minutes into the second stanza, Mount Olive took control by scoring the next six goals over the second and third periods and the visitors stayed ahead by at least three goals the rest of the way.

Kate Matuza (Hampstead, N.C.), who became the team's all-time leader in total points (202), led the home team with four goals. Senior attacker
Avery Woodcock (Wilmington, N.C.) added two goals and two assists in the setback. Matuza also tied the school career mark for goals scored (138) while Woodcock leads the team in assists (24) and total points (48) so far this year.
Mount Olive held advantages in both shots taken (36-25) and ground balls (26-18) while Lily Mahoney (Warwick, N.Y.) made 10 saves while picking up the victory in goal. Barton senior goalkeeper
Savannah Graves (Calvert County, Md.) suffered the loss after stopping four shots.
Barton hits the road for the first time in a month when the Bulldogs travel to Tigerville, S.C., to take on North Greenville in a league match beginning at Noon on Saturday, April 5, while Mount Olive.
