WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (7-4) made it two victories in a row with a 15-12 triumph over Charleston (7-3) Wednesday morning at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.

Avery Woodcock (Wilmington, N.C.) led the way with five goals and a pair of assists for seven total points while senior midfielder
Tamia Marshall (Wilmington, N.C.) added three scores in the victory.
With the score tied at eight-all at halftime, the Bulldogs took control by scoring the first goals of the second half to complete a 6-0 run over both quarters and held off a late Golden Eagles' rally to claim the win.
Charleston lost despite the play of Madison Partridge (Darlington, Md.), who led all scorers with eight goals in the losing effort.
Barton held advantage in both shots taken (29-27) and ground balls (32-24) while senior
Savannah Graves (Calvert County, Md.) earned the victory in goal after making five saves. Charleston's Megan Liston (Pickerington, Ohio) made three stops but suffered the loss in goal.
Barton hosts Shorter for Senior Day on Saturday at Noon in a Conference Carolinas match while Charleston hosts Gannon on Saturday beginning at Noon as well.
