WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's lacrosse team (2-7, 1-2) scored a season-high in goals and snapped a six-game losing streak with a 21-11 triumph over Emmanuel (6-4, 1-2) Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas contest at Truist Stadium and Electric Supply Company Field.

Kale Grehan (Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA) led all scorers with five goals and sophomore attacker
Nick Pomilio (Raleigh, N.C.) totaled seven points – four goals and three assists – as the Bulldogs picked up their first league win of the year.
Barton jumped out to a 9-2 advantage just two-and-a-half minutes into the second quarter and maintained at least a five-goal lead the rest of the way as the Bulldogs held off a few mini-runs by the Lions.
Emmanuel was paced by Ryan Laturell (Bishop, Ga.) with three goals but Barton was more-or-less dominant throughout, holding sizeable advantages in shots taken (62-28) and ground balls (46-17) in the victory.

Nate Lehr (Chenango Bridge, N.Y.) earned the victory after making 11 saves while Grady Magruder (Elk River, Minn.) suffered the loss despite stopping 10 shots in the first half.
Barton hits the road to take on rival Mount Olive on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m., in Mount Olive, N.C., while Emmanuel hosts Lees-McRae Tuesday evening beginning at 5:00 p.m., as well.
