FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – The Barton men's volleyball team (9-7, 4-1) shut out Emmanuel (1-16, 0-6), 3-0, in a Conference Carolinas contest Friday evening at the Shaw Athletic Center.
The Bulldogs won over the Lions by scores of 25-22, 25-18 and 25-18.
Barton was led by freshman outside hitter
Lawson Hink (Brookfield, Wis.) and senior outside hitter
Jack Sandahl (Gloucester, Va.) with 10 kills each while senior setter
Seth Deppe (Mukwonago, Wis.) added 35 assists and six digs in the victory.
Barton also hit .292 for the contest and snapped a three-match losing streak in the process.
Emmanuel, still searching for its first league win, was paced by Aiden Feeney (Port Richey, Fla.) with a match-high 20 kills in addition to 12 digs for a double-double in the setback.
Barton remains on the road to take on Erskine on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m., in league action in Due West, S.C., while Emmanuel hosts conference-foe Mount Olive Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
