WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's basketball team (13-12, 9-8) celebrated Senior Day in style with a 92-65 victory over Converse (9-13, 8-8) Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas contest at Wilson Gymnasium.

Shawn Nelson (Miami, Fla.) finished with a team-high 20 points while the Bulldogs scored 54 points after halftime as the Bulldogs snapped a two-game losing streak.
The Bulldogs shot 51 percent (36-of-70) from the floor and hit 10 three-pointers as the home team extended its lead to as many as 31 points on three occasions in the second half in the victory.

Jett Fortuny (Cary, N.C.) added 13 points and junior forward
Nygie Stroman (Hamlet, N.C.) scored 12 points as the Bulldogs held a 48-32 on the boards and 11 players found the scorebook.
Converse's Jay Mitchell (Clemmons, N.C.) led all scorers with 21 points but the visitors were out of the game by halftime.
Barton hits the road again to take on rival Mount Olive in a league contest on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., in Mount Olive, N.C., while Converse takes on Chowan in Murfreesboro, N.C., on Sunday starting at 4:00 p.m.
