VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Barton men's and women's indoor track and field teams kicked off the season with a solid performance at Virginia Wesleyan's 2025 First Chance Meet Friday at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
Barton juniors
Jaidan Lee (Charlotte, N.C.) and
Jordan Bobbitt (Rocky Mount, N.C.) finished first and second in the men's 60-meter dash with times of 6.926 and 6.930 seconds, respectively.
Bobbitt also finished second in the men's 200-meter dash (21.81) while sophomore
Brandon Waller (Cabot, Ark.) took third in both the men's 400-meter dash (49.97) and 800-meter run (1:56.16), respectively.
On the women's side, Barton sophomore
Angel Agyeman (Greensboro, N.C.) took fourth in the 60-meter dash (7.73) and sophomore
Iyana Coats (Knightdale, N.C.) took sixth in the high jump (4'9").
The Barton indoor track team returns to competition on Saturday, January 17, at the Mondo College Invitational at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.
