Barton football rolls to victory on Senior Night, 37-7 over Erskine

WILSON, N.C. – The Barton football team (3-7, 3-2) won in convincing fashion on Senior Night, 37-7 over Erskine (1-9, 1-5) Saturday evening in a Conference Carolinas game at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.

Barton senior wide receiver Isaiah Jacobs (Raleigh, N.C.) caught 10 passes for 192 yards and three touchdowns – all school records – while sophomore running back Jackson Parrish (Graham, N.C.) crossed the 200-yard rushing mark for the third time this year to lead the Bulldogs to the win.

Parrish ran for 204 yards and two scores and reached the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the season as the Bulldogs racked up a season-high 497 yards of total offense in the victory.

Parish opened the scoring with a five-yard touchdown run late in the first quarter to complete a 12-play, 76-yard drive while Jacobs scored two of his touchdowns in the second quarter as the Bulldogs took a 20-7 halftime lead and never looked back in the win.

Sophomore quarterback Al Lee (Reidsville, N.C.) passed for a season-high 263 yards and three scores as well for the Bulldogs, who held the Flying Fleet to 246 yards of total offense.  Barton senior defensive lineman Bailey Carraway (Hartsville, S.C.) added three quarterback sacks.

Erskine quarterback Ryan Killmer (Saint Augustine, Fla.) led the visitors with 130 yards passing and a touchdown in the losing effort.

Barton hosts Chowan in the regular season finale next Saturday, November 15, at 6:00 p.m.
