KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The Barton men's and women's swimming team went into Thanksgiving Break wrapping up competition Wednesday at the King Invitational at the Kingsport Aquatic Center.
On the women's side, the Bulldogs took third overall with 271.5 points while King (767.5 points) was the top squad.
In the men's competition, Barton placed fifth (242 points) while Mars Hill finished first overall with a total of 686 points.
Barton senior
Natan Alexandre (Sao Paulo, BRAZIL) won the men's 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 55.96 seconds.
In addition, senior
Cali Younker (Blaine, Tenn.) placed runner-up in the women's 50-yard freestyle (24.65) and was part of the women's 200-yard medley (1:52.56) and women's 200-yard freestyle (1:41.91) relays which finished second overall.
Barton will next compete on Saturday, January 10, in a dual meet with Virginia Wesleyan in Virginia Beach, Va., starting at 1:00 p.m.
