MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The Barton men's basketball team (0-4) fell in another game down to the wire, 85-84 to Emory & Henry (3-1) Friday evening in the first game of the University of Mount Olive Pickle Classic at Kornegay Arena.
The Wasps' Jackson Crawford (Daleville, Va.) led all scorers with 24 points while Korbin Dixon (Milton, Ontario, CANADA) added 15 points as Emory & Henry was able to hold off a late Bulldogs' rally to take the win.
Barton, which was down by a 72-60 score with just over five-and-a-half minutes remaining, received a team-high 19 points from
Jaylen Faber (Columbia, S.C.) in the losing effort.

Christian Taylor (Waldorf, Md.) added a career-high 17 points off the bench and the Bulldogs got to within one point on three occasions in the final 30 seconds but the Wasps were able to hold on for the win.
The Bulldogs, which have lost all four games this year by a total of six points, finished 90 percent (26-of-29) from the charity stripe despite the setback.
On the final day of the classic on Saturday, Barton takes on Middle Georgia at 5:00 p.m., while Emory & Henry faces Mount Olive beginning at 7:00 p.m.
