HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Barton field hockey team (0-14, 0-9) suffered a 6-0 loss to Lincoln Memorial (5-11, 2-7) Saturday afternoon in a South Atlantic Conference contest at the Railsplitters Complex.
Lincoln Memorial used balance scoring to upend Barton with six players finding the back of the net including Rosa Duivenvoorden (Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS), who scored the match-winner just 2:30 into the match.
The Railsplitters' Jimena Loustalot (Tandil, ARGENTINA) and Jolie Plaisier (Zuid-Holland, NETHERLANDS) both tallied a goal and an assist as LMU held a 28-3 margin in shots taken in the triumph.
LMU's goalkeeper, Cayla Wiggins (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.), made a pair of saves in the victory while freshman
Bryanna Snowball (Windsor, N.Y.) made 14 stops but suffered the setback for the Bulldogs.
Barton hosts Wingate in its home final next Saturday, November 1, beginning at 3:00 p.m., at Truist Stadium in a conference match.
Lincoln Memorial, meanwhile, takes on Converse in a league match next Friday, October 31, starting at 5:00 p.m.
