WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's volleyball team (5-15, 2-11) fell to rival Mount Olive (10-13, 8-7), 3-0, Wednesday evening in a Conference Carolinas contest at Wilson Gymnasium.
The Trojans won over the Bulldogs by scores of 26-24, 25-17 and 25-18 and swept the season series from Barton.
Mount Olive was led by Kaitlyn Landis (Troutman, N.C.) finished with a team-high 10 kills to go along with 12 digs for a double-double in the triumph.

Lexi Wasil (Prescott, Ariz.) tallied a match-high 13 kills and freshman setter
Camryn Vickery (Sophia, N.C.) added a double-double – 13 assists and 10 digs – but the Bulldogs suffered their seventh straight setback.
The Bulldogs were also limited to a 0.062 hitting percentage and the Trojans won despite 11 service errors.
Barton looks to bounce back on Friday when the Bulldogs travel to Spartanburg, S.C., to take on conference-foe Converse beginning at 6:00 p.m. Mount Olive hosts Ferrum in a league contest on Saturday, October 25, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
