WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's soccer team (4-9, 3-7) gave up two goals in the last 13 minutes in a stunning upset loss to Ferrum (4-8-2, 2-8), 2-1, Tuesday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas match at the Bulldogs Athletic Complex.
The Panthers scored the match-winner when Brooklyn Lee (Rocky Mount, Va.) found the back of the net after receiving a breakaway pass from Breanna Herlihy (Frankfort, Ill.) with just 4:57 remaining in the contest.
Herlihy, who was credited with the assist, tied the score at one in the 78th minute.

Lily Diedrich (Severna Park, Md.) took the loss despite three saves. Ferrum's goalkeeper, Ashli Wuss (Huntington, N.Y.), earned the win in goal after stopping eight shots on the afternoon.
Barton held a 18-10 advantage in shots taken despite the setback.
Barton remains at home to face Belmont Abbey in the home finale on Friday in league action beginning at 7:00 p.m. Ferrum, meanwhile, travels to Rome, Ga., to take on Shorter in conference action Saturday starting at 1:30 p.m.
