PEMBROKE, N.C. – The Barton women's volleyball team (5-12, 2-8) fell to UNC Pembroke (9-7, 6-2) in three sets Friday night in a Conference Carolinas contest at Lumbee Guaranty Bank Court.
The Braves downed the Bulldogs by scores of 25-18, 25-15 and 25-19 to snap a two-match losing streak.
UNC Pembroke's Abby Peduzzi (Hilton Head, S.C.) led the way with 15 kills to go along with 13 digs for a double-double while Savannah Whaley (Farmville, N.C.) added 14 kills as the Braves hit .296 in the victory.

Paige Bagwell (Kings Mountain, N.C.) also tallied a double-double – 16 assists and 12 digs – and senior outside hitter
Lexi Wasil (Kings Mountain, N.C.) finished with a team-high eight kills but the Bulldogs suffered their fourth straight setback.
Barton will look to bounce back next Friday, October 17, against Lees-McRae in league action at Wilson Gymnasium beginning at 2:00 p.m.
UNC Pembroke, meanwhile, hosts Francis Marion on Tuesday, October 14, beginning at 6:00 p.m., in a conference match.
