WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (6-10, 3-5) scored early and often in beating Southern Wesleyan (1-15, 1-8), 22-2, on Senior Day Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas contest at Truist Stadium and Electric Supply Company Field.

Sydney Quinn (Fuquay-Varina, N.C.) totaled 11 points – eight goals and three assists – while a trio of Bulldogs – graduate student attacker
Chloe Butts (Medina, Ohio), junior attacker
Kate Matuza (Hampstead, N.C.) and senior midfielder
MacKenzie Camp (Honeoye Falls, N.Y.) – all scored three goals in the win.
Quinn now leads the team in goals (42), assists (27) and total points (69) as the Bulldogs raced to a 16-0 advantage at halftime and never looked back in the win.
Barton pushed its advantage to 21-0 before Southern Wesleyan's Mack Moreau (Simpsonville, S.C.) found the back of the net twice to help the Warriors avoid the shutout. Barton held advantages in both shots taken (36-5) and ground balls (26-18) while sophomore
Avery Gandolf (Medina, Ohio) played the first half and earned the win in goal for the Bulldogs. Southern Wesleyan's Caroline Lark (Boiling Springs, S.C.) suffered the loss despite five saves on the afternoon.
Barton hits the road to take on league-foe Chowan in the regular season finale on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m., in Murfreesboro, N.C., while Southern Wesleyan hosts Warren Wilson on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
