WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's lacrosse team (5-6, 3-0) remained at the top of the Conference Carolinas standings with a 15-3 shutdown victory over Young Harris (3-7, 0-3) Saturday afternoon on Senior Day at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.

Jamie Kukucha (Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA) scored three times while sophomore midfielder
Nick Calleri (Holly Springs, N.C.) and senior midfielder
Logan Wheeler (Fuquay-Varina, N.C.) both scored twice as the Bulldogs held the Mountain Lions off the scoreboard over the final three periods of play.
With the score tied at three at the end of the first stanza, the Bulldogs outscored the Mountain Lions by a 12-0 margin the rest of the way in route to their third consecutive triumph.

Nathan Metcalf (Franklinton, N.C.) earned the victory after making 13 stops and crossed the 100-save mark for his collegiate career while Young Harris' Bryce Parish (Northfield, Minn.) suffered the loss despite 10 stops on the afternoon. Barton held edges in both shots taken (39-32) and ground balls (28-22) in the triumph.
Barton hits the road to take on Belmont Abbey in a key conference contest on Wednesday in Belmont, N.C., beginning at 3:30 p.m., while Young Harris hosts Emmanuel on Wednesday starting at 5:00 p.m.
