WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (5-7, 2-2) scored early and often in a dominant victory over Lees-McRae (0-8, 0-5), 23-2, Wednesday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas contest at Truist Stadium and Electric Supply Company Field.

Kloe Martin (Dracut, Mass.) led all scorers with seven goals while junior midfielder
Tamia Marshall (Wilmington, N.C.) added four scores as the Bulldogs jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back in taking the league win.
Martin and Marshall are tied for the team lead in goals scored with 28 while 10 players scored for the Bulldogs, who held decisive advantages in both shots taken (38-2) and ground balls (20-6) in the triumph.

Savannah Graves (Calvert County, Md.) played the first half and earned the victory while Lees-McRae's Chloe McNeal (Hillsborough, N.C.) suffered the loss despite seven saves on the afternoon. The Bobcats' Nim Castro (Jacksonville, Fla.) tallied a goal and assist in the setback.
Barton remains at home to host North Greenville on Saturday beginning at 11:00 a.m., in a conference contest while Lees-McRae hosts Chowan on Saturday, April 6, at Noon.
