WILSON, N.C. – The Barton baseball team (24-7, 8-7) suffered a nail-biting setback to No. 3 North Greenville (23-7, 11-4), 3-2, Monday afternoon in the final game of a Conference Carolinas weekend series at Nixon Field.
The Crusaders broke a two-all tie with the game-winning RBI single courtesy of Thomas Powell (Lexington, S.C.) in the top of the ninth inning to lift North Greenville to the win.

Barton travels to Ettrick, Va., to take on Virginia State beginning at 3:00 p.m., on Tuesday while North Greenville faces Coker in Hartsville, S.C., on Wednesday starting at 6:00 p.m.
