YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (4-7, 1-2) fell to Young Harris (5-6, 1-2) by an 18-13 score in a Conference Carolinas contest Saturday afternoon at the Mountain Lions Complex.
Young Harris' Ally Cattoni (Alpharetta, Ga.) scored five times while Parker Vaughan (Apex, N.C.) and Riley Parker (Woodstock, Ga.) both added three goals as the Mountain Lions jumped out to a 10-4 halftime lead and stayed in control the rest of the way to take the win.

Sydney Quinn (Fuquay-Varina, N.C.) also scored five times and junior midfielder
Tamia Marshall (Wilmington, N.C.) finished with three goals in the losing effort. Quinn now leads the squad in goals (25) and total points (36) so far this season. The Bulldogs also saw their two-game winning streak come to an end.
Young Harris held advantages in both shots taken (43-25) and ground balls (44-27) in the win while Abbie Gallagher (Normandy, Tenn.) earned the victory in goals after making five stops. Barton junior goalkeeper
Savannah Graves (Calvert County, Md.) suffered the loss despite 15 saves on the day.
Barton returns home to face Lees-McRae at Truist Stadium on Wednesday beginning at 4:00 p.m., in a league contest while Young Harris takes on Mount Olive in Newberry, S.C., on Friday starting at 1:00 p.m.
