WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (2-4) came up short to Wilmington (Delaware) (4-0), 15-8, Saturday morning at home at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium.
The Wildcats, who remained unbeaten on the season, were led by Amelie Gamache (Stewartstown, Pa.) with four goals while Alea Javorowsky (Macedon, N.Y.) and Ella Royer (Sherwood Park, N.Y.) both scored three times to lead the visitors.
Barton, which suffered its fourth straight loss, was paced by junior midfielder
Tamia Marshall (Wilmington, N.C.) with three goals to push her team-leading total on the year to 15 in the losing effort.
Javorowsky and Royer added four and three assists, respectively, as Wilmington jumped out to a 7-2 lead with just over 10 minutes left in the second stanza and remained in control throughout.
Wilmington held a 33-23 advantage in shots taken while Katie Vindigni (Montvale, N.J.) made nine saves in goal to preserve the win. Barton junior goalkeeper

Barton next hosts Kutztown (Pa.) on Monday, March 11, at 7:00 p.m., while Wilmington faces Lock Haven on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m., in Lock Haven, Pa.
