WILSON, N.C. – The Barton baseball team (18-5) rolled to a 19-3 win over Saint Anselm (N.H.) (5-8) in a seven-inning run-ruled contest Tuesday afternoon at Nixon Field.

Salvatore Laimo (Philadelphia, Pa.) hit a three-run home run and drove in seven runs as the Bulldogs scored in every frame on their way to an easy victory.
Barton, which improved to 16-1 at home this season, also received four runs batted in courtesy of junior catcher
Chase Waddell (Lucama, N.C.) as the Bulldogs pounded out 18 hits in the win.

Jacob Shapley (Sewell, N.J.) allowed just one run while striking out a pair of batters over four innings of work in relief to improve to 2-0 on the season. Saint Anselm's Will Hunter (Middleton, Mass.) (1-1) was tagged with the loss.
Barton hosts Saint Michael's (Vt.) on Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m., at Fleming Stadium while Saint Anselm takes on Slippery Rock on Saturday in Slippery Rock, Pa., in a doubleheader at Noon.
