WILSON, N.C. – The Barton baseball team (5-0) remained perfect on the season with a 14-0 shutout win over Felician (1-1) Friday afternoon at Nixon Field.

Connor Patterson (Randleman, N.C.) (2-0), who picked up the victory, and junior
Ryan Gordon (York, Pa.) combined to throw a one-hitter as the Bulldogs run-ruled the Golden Falcons in seven innings of work.
Holding a 2-0 advantage, the Bulldogs broke the contest open with 12 runs in the final three frames. Barton senior designated hitter
Tanner Halvorson (Eau Claire, Wis.) and junior third baseman
Jared Beebe (Atco, N.J.) both finished with three runs and four RBI in the triumph.
Three Golden Falcons errors led to four unearned runs for the Bulldogs. Patterson hasn't allowed a run in 10 innings of work this season. Patterson struck out four batters this afternoon. Felician's Logan Waltz (Hazlet, N.J.) (0-1) was tagged with the loss for the visitors.
Barton hosts East Stroudsburg on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., while Felician will face East Stroudsburg in the next contest at 2:00 p.m., as the round-robin between the three teams continues.
