WILSON, N.C. – The Barton baseball team (6-0) made it six-for-six with a 6-3 victory over East Stroudsburg (1-2) Saturday morning at Nixon Field.

Jared Beebe (Atco, N.J.) hit a three-run home run in the opening frame and freshman outfielder
Gavin Gilmore (Eastampton, N.J.) added a solo round-tripper as the Bulldogs staked themselves to a 6-0 advantage after three innings of play and held on for the victory.
Barton senior
Tanner Halvorson (Eau Claire, Wisc.), who came through with an RBI double, earned his first victory of the season after allowing just one run over seven innings of work to go along with nine strikeouts.
East Stroudsburg's Ben Piripavel (Bethlehem, Pa.) hit a two-run single in the ninth inning but Nick McAuliffe (Phillipsburg, N.J.) (0-1) was tagged with the loss.
Barton faces Felician on Sunday at home starting at 1:00 p.m., while East Stroudsburg, which fell to Felician by a 10-9 score later in the day, travels to Murfreesboro, N.C., to take on Saturday, February 17, for a doubleheader beginning at Noon.
