SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (2-2) suffered a 16-9 loss to Shepherd (W.Va.) (1-1) Sunday afternoon at Ram Stadium.
The Rams' Kelsey King (Fallston, Md.) led all scorers with seven goals as Shepherd jumped out to a 7-2 advantage after one period of play and never looked back in picking up its first victory of the year.

Tamia Marshall (Wilmington, N.C.) finished with a team-high three goals and senior midfielder
MacKenzie Camp (Honeoye Falls, N.Y.) scored twice in the losing effort. Marshall is tied for the team lead in goals with 11 this season.
The Rams held a 31-20 edge in shots taken while Destiny Rockwell (Glengary, W.Va.) earned the victory in goal for the Shepherd after stopping five shots.

Savannah Graves (Calvert County, Md.) took the loss despite nine saves on the afternoon.
Barton returns home to take on Bridgeport (Conn.) on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m., at Electric Supply Company Field and Truist Stadium while Shepherd travels to Frostburg, Md., to take on Frostburg on Wednesday starting at 5:00 p.m.
