WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's lacrosse team (1-4) suffered an 11-8 loss to Roberts Wesleyan (3-1) on Wednesday afternoon at Truist Stadium and Electric Supply Company Field.
A pair of Redhawks – Gunner McMillan (Henrietta, N.Y.) and Dan Doviak (Oswego, N.Y.) – both scored four goals as Roberts Wesleyan rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the first quarter to take the victory.

Nic Lord (Wilmington, N.C.) had a pair of goals to lead the Bulldogs but the home team scored only twice after intermission.  Barton also received a goal and an assist from graduate student midfielder 
B.J. Wilson (Tampa, Fla.) and freshman midfielder 
Drew Paxson (Bel Air, Md.) in the losing effort.
The Redhawks held a 51-33 advantage in shots taken while Garrett Kayser (Geneva, N.Y.) earned the win in goal after stopping 11 shots on the day.  Barton sophomore goalkeeper 
Alex Stewart (Harford County, Md.) took the loss despite 13 stops in the contest.
Barton looks to bounce back on Saturday when the Bulldogs play Lander at Mooresville High School in Mooresville, N.C., beginning at 3:00 p.m., while Roberts Wesleyan takes on Mount Olive on Friday starting in 2:00 p.m., in Mount Olive, N.C.
