WILSON, N.C. – The Barton baseball team (10-0) remained unbeaten on the season with a 15-5 triumph in a run-ruled victory over Bloomsburg (0-3) in eight innings Sunday afternoon at Nixon Field.

Luis Sauri (Buena, N.J.) finished with three hits and four runs batted in while senior first baseman
John McNamee (Philadelphia, Pa.) added three RBI as the Bulldogs rallied from a 5-0 deficit to complete the three-game sweep of the Huskies.
Bloomsburg stakes themselves to the five-run lead culminated by a three-run home run from Wyatt Metzger (Selinsgrove, Pa.) in the top of the second inning. Metzger finished with four hits and four runs batted in despite the loss.
Barton senior
Jacob Shapley (Sewell, N.J.) (1-0) earned the victory in relief after pitching nearly six scoreless innings while striking out nine batters. Bloomsburg's Will Dean (Coatesville, Pa.) fell to 0-1 after taking the loss.
Barton remains at home to take on Coker on Wednesday beginning at 2:00 p.m., while Bloomsburg takes on Fairmont State on Friday, March 1, in a doubleheader at Noon in Fairmont State, W.Va.
