WILSON, N.C. – The Barton women's lacrosse team (2-0) rolled to a 21-6 victory over Tiffin (Ohio) (0-1) Saturday afternoon in the 2024 home opener at Truist Stadium and Electric Supply Company Field.

Sydney Quinn (Fuquay-Varina, N.C.) led all scorers with seven goals while junior midfielder
Tamia Marshall (Wilmington, N.C.) added five scores as the Bulldogs jumped out to a 7-1 lead early in the second stanza and never looked back in taking the win.
Barton held a 41-17 advantage in shots taken while sophomore
Savannah Graves (Calvert County, Md.) earned the victory in goal after stopping six shots in addition to seven ground balls and seven caused turnovers.
Tiffin, playing in its first match of the season, was led by Jessa Zaheri (Georgetown, Ky.) and Guinevere Salas (Noblesville, Ind.) with a goal and an assist despite the loss. Jenay Rennie (New Westminster, British Columbia, CANADA) suffered the loss in goal for Tiffin. Rennie totaled 10 saves on the day.
Barton hits the road to take on Frostburg State in Frostburg, Md., on Friday evening beginning at 5:00 p.m., while Tiffin takes on Lees-McRae on Monday at Noon in Banner Elk, N.C.
