MARS HILL, N.C. – The Barton men's lacrosse team (1-3) was dealt a 10-7 loss to Mars Hill (2-2) on Saturday afternoon at Meares Stadium and the Ammons Family Athletic Center.
The Lions' Josh McCallion (Beaumont, Alberta, CANADA) scored three times as the Lions rallied from a 6-4 deficit early in the third period to take the victory.
Barton was led by graduate student midfielder
B.J. Wilson (Tampa, Fla.) and graduate student attacker
Matt Calleri (Holly Springs, N.C.) with two goals each but the Bulldogs lost despite holding a 45-29 edge in shots taken.
Mars Hill's Brandon Woodward (Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, CANADA) broke a seven-all tie with the game-winner at the 8:34 mark of the fourth period and the Lions kept the Bulldogs scoreless the rest of the way.

Drew Wheeler (Fuquay-Varina, N.C.) suffered the loss despite seven saves.
Barton returns home to take on Roberts Wesleyan on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m., at Truist Stadium while Mars Hill travels to Montevallo, Ala., to play Montevallo on Friday starting at 5:00 p.m.
