WILSON, N.C. – The Barton men's basketball team (5-1, 1-0) ran its winning streak to five games with a 98-88 victory over Southern Wesleyan (1-4, 0-1) in the Conference Carolinas opener Saturday afternoon at Wilson Gymnasium.
The Bulldogs put five players in double figures including three off the bench led by senior guard
Trey Crews' (Durham, N.C.) team-high 18 points and nine assists as Barton scored 57 points after intermission in the win.

Sean Quick-Streeter (Columbia, S.C.) added 15 points in a reserve role as well as the Bulldogs held a big advantage on the boards – 57-34 – and shot 54 percent (22-of-41) after halftime in the triumph.
Southern Wesleyan's Eric Hackett (Lexington, Ky.) led all scorers with 21 points off the bench but the Warriors connected on just 23-of-37 attempts (62 percent) from the charity stripe and couldn't stay with the Bulldogs in the second half.
Barton travels to Raleigh, N.C., on Tuesday to take on Shaw on Tuesday evening starting at 7:00 p.m., while Southern Wesleyan faces Belmont Abbey next Saturday, November 30, at 4:00 p.m., in Belmont, N.C.
