MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The Barton men's basketball team (2-1) won easily over Morris (2-3), 111-55, Friday evening on the first day of the Pickle Classic on the campus of the University of Mount Olive.

Jordan Johnson (Bowie, Md.) led the Bulldogs with 18 points while senior guard
Jett Fortuny (Cary, N.C.) added 16 points as both players hit four treys in the victory.
Barton totaled 13 three-pointers for the contest and put the game away early after jumping out to a 42-8 advantage with just under eight minutes remaining in the first half. The Bulldogs led at halftime by a 59-24 score and forced the Hornets into 27 turnovers in the win.
Seventeen players scored for the Bulldogs as well. Morris was led by Da'Shawn Brown (Forest Park, Ga.) with 18 points but the Hornets were never in the contest. Barton also held a 51-41 advantage on the boards and connected on 26-of-39 free throw attempts.
On the second day of the tournament, Barton takes on Georgia Southwestern at 5:00 p.m., while Morris faces the host school, Mount Olive, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
